What is Cardiac Rehabilitation?

Our cardiac rehabilitation program is designed to help individuals recover the strength and energy lost due to their hospitalization. This program enables newly discharged cardiac patients who have completed a "phase II cardiac program" become stronger in a safe and supervised environment.

The goals of phase III cardiac rehabilitation include:

  • Increase strength and endurance.

  • Increase aerobic capacity.

  • Increased knowledge about energy saving techniques.

  • Increased exercise tolerance and performance.

  • Enhanced ability to perform activities of daily living.

  • Reduction of anxiety and depression.

  • Return to work for some patients.
